Supply Chain Dynamics Workshop Series (SCD)

APICS Supply Chain Workshop Series I - Supply Chain Dynamics

Besides moving goods from manufacturing to ports, supply chain management is about the relationships that exist in the entire chain, from tier-3 suppliers to retailers, which work together to deliver products and services.  The financial and information flows are the two key things a supply chain uses to obtain title of ownership and exchange of information respectively.

The Supply Chain Dynamics topic explores the key concepts, relationships, interdependencies and measurements necessary to deliver products and services at the right price, with the right quality and at the right time to end customers.

Too often we fall into the trap of process silos and island of excellence.  Sales and Operations Planning is the tool we use to weave manufacturing plan into overall business strategy.   Sourcing decisions are a vital input to manufacturing performance; continuous improvement drives the integration of manufacturing with supply chain processes, allowing the exploration of the trade space associated with capacity.  Supply Chain Dynamics explores the integration of manufacturing into supply chain strategy as proven by industries in Puerto Rico.  This session will help you understand manufacturing performance from a supply chain perspective.
